What’s Vaping? It is a term sometimes used to describe what most non-smokers think of as smoking, but is really just a modification of what’s called smoking. An electric cigarette is simply an electric device which simulates smoking tobacco. It usually includes a battery, a power power source like a cigarette battery, and a glass or plastic tube like a cartridge or sock.
Rather than smoke, the smoker inhales vapour instead. As with tobacco smoke, vapour from electric cigarettes is carcinogenic (cancer causing). Inhaling vapors is simply as harmful to your lungs as sucking in tobacco smoke. But, since electric cigarettes usually do not directly inhale the smoke that gets into the lungs, they’re safe for long term use. As such, using an electronic cigarette frequently is often referred to as “vaping” instead of “smoking”.
Another difference between a cigarette and an e Cigarette is that most usually do not contain nicotine. Nicotine is addictive and smokers will try to stop on cigarettes to stop the addiction, but they cannot. There is always another “high” or “rush” to replace the “hit” from smoking. Also, once you stop smoking, you may notice some difficulty getting over the withdrawal symptoms such as cravings, irritability, depression, anxiety, etc. These symptoms tend to be worse than the pain of nicotine withdrawals. Therefore, even if you are able to quit by yourself, you would still must be supervised by a healthcare professional such as your physician.
So, what’s Vaping? Many people utilize the term “juul” to describe what is essentially vaporising what you are inhaling, but the two words have many other meanings.
